Woodchurch 10 & 5 mile – Race Report

Sunday 21st saw 3 members of Thanet Road Runners take on the Woodchurch Running Festival 10 mile and 5 mile road race.

Previously featured on the Club Championship calender, this race, described as undulating, takes runners through the picturesque village and country lanes around Woodchurch in Kent. The 5 mile route is one loop with the 10 being two.

About 250 runners took part in both events.

Mark said that there were a few long hills but he felt strong and enjoyed this one.

Although only 3 of us turned up, there were some cracking performances…

10 mile race:

Garry Parsons – 01:01:31 – 12th overall and 2nd in his age group (V55)

5 mile race

Mark Croucher – 33:01 – 6th overall and 1st in his age group (V40)

Mike James – 41:13 – 32nd overall and 3rd in his age group (V60)

Well done everyone. A particular shout out to Mark who goes from strength to strength and has today been rewarded with a V40 trophy. Many more to come….
