Senior Training

Where & When

 

Thanet Roadrunners has a number of formal training sessions each week. Whether it’s distance, speed or hills we’ll make sure you get through each session in one piece!

 

All of our enthusiastic and friendly run leaders are England Athletics qualified and fully DBS checked.  Whatever your ability level, they will help you reach whatever goals you have. 

 

If you’re new be sure to look up the sessions leader(s) or coach so they can introduce you to the group and help you with your first, of many, training runs.

 

Although we always try to run our training sessions at the advertised times, these sometimes have to be changed at short notice.  The best way to keep up to date and book yourself on one of our club sessions is to use the “RunTogether Runner” app which is available for free on the Apple and Google play stores.   Once you have downloaded the app, search for Thanet Roadrunners and you will see the sessions you can book onto and keep up to date with any changes.  

Club Run - 18 years and over

6:30 pm

  • 50-60 minutes
  • 3-12k
  • Charles Dickens School, Broadstairs Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2RL
  • Leaders: Various – check the Run Together app for the session details.  

Hills training - 18 years and over

6:30 pm

  • 50-60 mins
  • 8-10k
  • The Lookout Cafe, Westcliff Promenade, Ramsgate, CT11 9JY
  • Leaders: Steve & Ade

Speed training on the track

6:30 pm

  • 50-60 minutes
  • Variable - usually about 5-6k
  • Royal Harbour Academy track, Ramsgate, CT12 6FA
  • Coaches: Chris, Andy, James, Phil.

Club Run - 18 years and over

  • 8-10k
  • Hartsdown Swimming Pool, Hartsdown Rd, Margate CT9 5QX
  • Leaders: Ellis, Jo, Ade, Steve, Nikki

Club Run - 18 years and over

8:30 am

  • 90 minutes
  • 10k+
  • West Bay Cafe, Sea Road, Westgate CT8 8QA
  • Leaders: Various.
