TRAC – Runner of the Month – Sept – #2

TWO runners have been chosen by our leaders for Runner of The Month.  Our run leaders strongly supported both of them and did not want to choose one over the other.

POPPY H has made great progress in her running over the last weeks and
months.  A great example of this is on the Sunday club runs, Poppy initially joined the group taking the shorter route.  She always comes along with a smile on her face and encourages others. Over time, Poppy has been increasing her mileage and attempting the whole Sunday run route, walking some sections at times. She has really persevered with her efforts and is now a regular Sunday runner, completing the full 90 minute run.  It’s great to see her determination, progress and consistently positive outlook.  Well done!

We asked Poppy a few questions…
Q. What attracted you to join TRAC?
A. I knew a club member that was really enjoying it and the C25K seemed
like an ideal time to start.

Q. Whats your best moment?
A. It felt amazing to finish C25K and every run since then feels like a huge accomplishment.

Q. What would you say to a new person who is considering joining?
A. Any news person considering joining should just go for it. It’s amazing what you can do if you persevere . . .I never thought I could run and I feel better than I have ages!

Q. What does the club mean to you?
A. The club has been so supportive and I have made some fantastic running buddies. The social side is easily as important to me as the running to be honest.
