Stelling Minnis 10K
Olly (Oliver) Regan made the club proud at the Stelling Minnis 10k.
With almost 350 feet of elevation, slippy roads and 22% elevations and declines this is far from a PB course, but that didn’t put Olly off.
As the youngest competitor in the race, at just 16 years old you would expect him to overshadowed by the elites, but Olly wasn’t settling for that. He finished in second place (36.32), just a minute behind the winner, who had legs as long as Olly’s whole body!
Olly said “I had the leader in sight for the whole race. It was tough, with very steep ascents and even steeper descents, but I dug in, relied on my training and tried to catch him. I’m happy with my time”.
Oliver is the current Macknade (Faversham) 10k champion and has a very promising future!
