TRAC – Runner of the Month – November

November – Jo Holl

This month, we had a number of run leaders nominated for runner of the month, so instead of asking the run leaders to vote for them, this task fell to a subset of the committee.

We are delighted to announce that the runner of the months for November is Jo Holl.

Jo well and truly deserves the runner of the month. Not only is she setting new PB’s left and right, she is also someone who gives up so much time for others within the club. She is welcoming, supportive and helpful to all members with their membership queries.  People frequently describe her as inspirational, which is very understandable given her recent achievements.   Jo has been selected to run for the England Masters Half Marathon team following a brilliant performance in the Great Eastern race, where she won her age group category with a PB of 1h:34m:20s. To sum up, she is a really lovely person as well as a great runner.

We asked Jo for her thoughts on the club:

1. What attracted you to join TRAC?

Jon dragged me along! We’d both been doing some running and needed the knowledge of a club…..we’ve never looked back 10 yrs later!

2. Whats your best moment?

Running the whole NYC Marathon with Nikki, crossing the finish line together, also gaining my England vest! (I know that’s 2!)

3. What would you say to a new person who is considering joining?

DO IT! You get great support, help and support from the whole club. Who knows where it will take you. We’re a friendly bunch.

4. What does the club mean to you?

It’s a second family always there whatever, supporting in the good and bad times. Good friendships made there.
