Thanet Roadrunners AC Return To Training 29th March 2021
Following the end of a third national lockdown in the UK with the outbreak of COVID-19, Thanet Roadrunners AC are pleased to confirm a return to senior training from the 29th March 2021.
This decision has been made following recent Government Guidelines and an update from England Athletics (EA) which can be can be found here: https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/guidance-update-2021/
A decision on the resumption of our Junior training will be made in April
Although we have the green light to restart with our club runs, we are very aware that we do so still under restrictions. We hope to see these restrictions further eased with time which we will keep you updated with.
We want to make it clear that our Run Leaders are under no pressure to take a group if they are not comfortable in doing so under the current conditions. With this is mind we are mindful that we may not be able to put on as many sessions as we have done previously. We therefore ask our members to be patient if there are no spaces available.
To make sure we are staying safe and following COV-19 government guidelines we will continue to use the app RunTogether to book onto our club runs. This allows you to book your space with your chosen run leader, who can take no more than 5 other runners at a time. Details of how to use this app are here: https://thanetroadrunnersac.com/club-news/club-running-update/
We also want to remind our members of the procedures that we will be following which can be found here:https://thanetroadrunnersac.com/members-only/thanet-roadrunners-ac-return-to-senior-training-july-2020/
We will also be closely following our Risk Assessment which can be found here: https://thanetroadrunnersac.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/UKA-Risk-Assessment-Template-Clubs-Event-Organisers-TRAC-Oct-20.pdf
Keep running, Stay safe and look out for each other.
