Cambridge Half – Race Report

Two TRACies and a TRACie offspring took on the Cambridge half on Sunday. It was a new course this year which wound its way around 2 colleges, this was scenic but narrow in places making it hard to pass people.

We didn’t plan our loo queuing well and had to rush to our start pen! I managed to wiggle my way through the crowds but Jon & Dom didn’t make it so had to start with the next wave which meant they had a long wait!

Well off we went and the wind was not as bad as we thought it would be as the buildings shielded us.  It was a varied course going through Kings College and Jesus College. We then headed out of Cambridge and through the pretty village of Grantchester and then back through the streets of Cambridge to the finish.

I got a nice little PB, Dom got his sub 1:40 and Jon sub 2hrs so all happy.

Dom Holl – 1:39:58
Jo Holl – 1:43:09 (PB)
Jon Holl – 1:55:23
