Cross country report – Swanley Park
KFL News.
The first cross country in the Kent fitness league saw our team of 19 competing at Swanley Park on
Sunday. Conditions were a bit too good for this winter sport. However our debutants and regular
cross-country runners had not raced on the trails since January 2020.
Tamasin Dorosti was our first lady home on her first race as traccie in 30th. Jack Bradley led our
men’s team in a creditable 8th overall.
It was a very busy event of 500+ with many enthusiastic runners giving it their all in a sporting
but highly competitive first lap. Two larger laps completed the racing with the leg sapping uphill
finish lined with local spectators.
Our joint team made a good start in the league of 18 clubs and currently hold position in 12th and the
ladies up to 8th in their individual league. We finished the morning with hot drinks and cakes under
our team gazebo.
Next round is 28th November. Oxleas wood.
