Introducing our new Welfare Officers – Ade and Julie Neaves

Ade and Julie have been active members of Thanet Roadrunners for over five years.  They are keen to raise awareness of the club welfare officers (previously known as safeguarding) role.  They have both completed safeguarding training and have up to date DBS checks.  They are qualified run leaders and have a good understanding of the benefits that talking that talking and running has on physical and mental wellbeing.

Individuals can raise concerns regarding children or adults at risk, directly with then, as they run regularly with the club.  As a club, we pride ourselves on being inclusive and supportive.  It’s always best to raise things early, if you have any concerns.

They can also be contacted confidentially by email at safeguarding@thanetroadrunnersac.com

Only Ade and Julie have access to this email address.

The club follow England Athletics safeguarding policy, which is accessible through TRAC homepage.

Thank you Pam Philpot our previous safeguarding and welfare lead, for all your years of service to the club.
