Race report – Sackett 5k / 10k
Top performances at this year’s Sackett races!
A Thanet Roadrunner AC event, that was fantastically well organised and marshalled. A massive well done and thank you to all involved, especially race director Terry and marshall organiser Maryanne.
We were also very well represented by our runners too, and managed to win both the Mens and Ladies Team Prizes!
An undulating course through the picturesque Pegwell Nature reserve and past the Viking ship. The final lap around the field was a challenging end to an enjoyable race.
The conditions were humid but we were very lucky with cloud cover throughout the race, and it must have suited some runners as the course records was broken in the Ladies 10k race and was close to being broken in the Men’s 10k race. Many other runners achieved their PB’s this morning.
Well done to Jack Bradley of Thanet Roadrunners with a time of 35:26 and Amy Seager of South Kent Harriers with a time of 40:09 in the 10k races.

Congratulations to Kevin McQuaid on winning the 5k race in 17:15. And a massive well done to Aiden Cooper from our Juniors section, a great run taking 3rd place in 18:01.
Congratulations to Hannah Mills, the first TRAC lady back in 24:46, and 3rd place.
