Run 40 with Thanet Roadrunners
You will have, no doubt, heard by now the end of July is our 40th anniversary as a club. An idea muted a short while ago was to get members the chance to run a total of 40 miles using a combination of TRAC training runs.
So starting from Monday, members are invited to take part in this challenge.
Looking at our training sessions, the Monday night groups offer runs between 5 & 9 miles per group, the Wednesday night hills session is roughly another 5 miles, whereas as the Thursday track session normally covers about 4-5 miles. The Friday night session (including the BBQ run) is around the 5-6 mile mark and the Sunday morning session normally aims for about 10 miles. So, in theory, you could run around 30 miles a week, just by doing TRAC sessions, as I say you could…
Anyway, with all these runs on offer a total of 40 miles can be easily achieved over the next three weeks.
In order to complete this challenge, participants should have completed their 40 miles, using TRAC training sessions, by 28th July (Track Session).
As always, thanks to our our lovely run leaders for making these sessions available in the first place.
